Summary


Supervisors will be required to supervise EMHP’s who will undergo a yearlong training programme from a designated Higher Education Institute (HEI) the HEI teaches a national curriculum of brief, focused evidence- based interventions in the form of low intensity support (CBT) and guided self-help to young people who demonstrate mild/moderate:
• Anxiety (primary and secondary school age)
• Low mood (adolescents)
• Common behavioural difficulties (working with parents for primary school children)

In addition, EMHPs will be trained in ways of working effectively in schools to support emotional wellbeing and mental health, and to build resilience. This includes working effectively with staff and parents/carers.
• As MHST Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to provide clinical supervision and guidance to our Mental health support team members, ensuring the highest standard of care for our clients.
• You will conduct regular supervision sessions in group and 1:1 format, which adheres to CBT informed supervision practice.
• You will keep accurate supervision records in line with Trust policy.
• Through supervision you will offer support, advice, skills practice, and feedback to enhance professional development and maintain clinical excellence.
• You will employ a good understanding of models of treatment for cognitive behavioural therapy and Low intensity CBT informed practice and be able to aid fidelity to treatment models through supervision.
• You will contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices within the team, staying up to date with the latest research and interventions in mental health and child wellbeing.
• You will support in the management of risk, identifying safeguarding needs and role modelling and always supporting safe practice.
• You will review supervisory relationships and content regularly and communicate effectively with leadership teams regarding progress, themes, or difficulties within supervisory relationships.
• In this role, you may also be required to collaborate with other MHST and CAMHS colleagues, participating in case consultations, multidisciplinary meetings, and fostering effective communication within the teams.
