Summary
Specialty Doctor in Adult Mental Health-Inpatients.
The successful applicant will support the acute inpatient team in providing day to day medical support to the Rotherham Acute Inpatient Wards.
The post will be based at Swallownest Court. Swallownest Court is in Rotherham with easy access to the M1 motorway and 20 minutes commute from Sheffield.
The post holder will be expected to provide psychiatric input to the in-patient unit acute wards and PICU. Depending on bed occupancy new admissions will be shared equally between the two acute wards. Patients admitted to the PICU will be managed by the PICU Consultant. Duties will include:
• Psychiatric assessments and on-going management of patients admitted to one of the two acute in-patient
• Preparation of psychiatric reports for and attendance at Mental Health Act tribunals and internal Managers
• To support multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds and CPA
• Supporting the Consultants in providing clinical leadership to the in-patient
• Play a supporting role in Business/Management Meetings for the In-patient Unit
• Supervision of medical and nursing staff in the
