Summary


Are you a team player? Can you act on your own initiative? If so, this could be the job for you. We are currently looking for a Security Officer to work at Frimley Park Hospital in Frimley.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff alike.

You will undertake general security and car parking duties and will be required to respond to emergency situations. Good communication skills along with clear verbal and written skills are essential. You will need to be flexible, reliable and punctual and be able to work on a rota shift pattern including nights.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake external conflict management course arranged by the Trust and sit a basic skills test at interview.

There will be a basic Maths and English test if selected for formal interview.

The preservation of good order on Trust property, including:
• The protection of patients, staff, contractors and visitors against violent acts and abuse.
• The protection of Trust property against loss, theft, damage and waste.
• The protection of property belonging to patients, staff, visitors and contractors against loss, theft and damage.
• Monitor the day to day use of the Trust’s car park facilities for both public and staff.
• To be a member of the Trust’s Helipad Response Team (Frimley Park only)

We are also proud to host the Defence Medical Group South East at Frimley Park with military surgical, medical and nursing personnel working alongside the hospital's NHS staff providing care to patients in all specialties
1. Surveillance of the site, including all car parks and other public and strategic areas by CCTV cameras will be maintained in order to detect and prevent crime. This facility will be in sole use by the security team only and used in conjunction with routine and strategic patrols.
2. To undertake regular foot patrols of the Hospital site in general including car parks and the Accident & Emergency Dept in particular.
3. To provide emergency response to incidents on Trust premises to protect staff, patients and visitors from acts of violence or aggression.
4. The protection of life from malicious criminal activity and the prevention of loss of Trust assets
5. Ensuring the safe custody of keys in line with Trust policies and procedures.
6. To carry out traffic congestion practices as directed by the security manager and Trust policies.
7. To carry out regular ID badge checks, programming, access permissions and assistance with the access control system, or similar systems.
8. To carry out car parking duties on or off the main site as indicated in the assignment instruction manual, and the issue of ID / swipe cards (Car Park access cards/fobs where appropriate..
9. To assist the public with the use of the car park pay on foot machines.
10. To repair any damaged car park barriers and pay on foot machines within a reasonable time scale, and if necessary call in contractors to complete repair work.
