Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Elective Bookings Officer to join the Specialist Surgery ENT Waiting List Bookings Team at Frimley Park. The post holder will be expected to undertake a variety of tasks across all aspects of Inpatient procedures bookings and rescheduling. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and also as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will possess: - good communication skills, handling both internal and external telephone calls- a flexible approach to work and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. An eye for detail in data collection and recording, and an awareness of local and national targets . This post is an excellent opportunity to develop skills working within the Elective bookings team in a band 3 job role.

To communicate with patients in an efficient and courteous manner to arrange, modify or cancel their inpatient procedures. Generating patient admission letters from the computer system and updating records accordingly. Ensuring all records and requests are dealt promptly and accurately filed and maintained. To adhere to the Trust Access Policy when
patients do not keep appointments or wish to delay appointments or treatment. To ensure patients are booked within their targets dates unless the patient chooses to wait for their procedure.
