Do you have study programme management experience working with 16-19 year olds ?

The key purpose of the job is to lead and manage the performance of the study programme provision in line with the company's strategic plan. This involves growing a team of efficient tutors, being responsible for the overall performance of the team and individuals, and serving as a link between tutors, learner support assistants, quality, and directors.

Key tasks and responsibilities include supporting new staff through onboarding, assisting the team in gathering required evidence, ensuring high-quality delivery of Maths and English elements, and maintaining compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs). The job also involves conducting team 1-1s and performance reviews, planning and delivering team meetings, and coordinating learner caseloads.

Additionally, the role includes ensuring high-quality provision in line with education inspection framework requirements, implementing improvement plans, and making learners, tutors aware of study programme requirements. Monitoring learner progress, supporting quality assurance initiatives, and serving as a support mechanism for learners and tutors are also part of the responsibilities.

The business impact and targets include supporting the achievement of at least a grade 2 Ofsted rating and avoiding funding clawback by providing sufficient evidence and support. The study programme manager has authority over their own diary, 1-1s and performance management of staff, training and development needs of staff, allocating learners, holiday approval, and decisions on new staff requirements.

Training and development involve staying up to date with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and leadership and management aspects. Having a full understanding of the funding rules and legislation involved within the Study Programme. The person specification includes qualities such as being a motivator, having authority, flexibility, people management skills, excellent time management, good administration skills, forward thinking, efficiency, enthusiasm for teaching new skills, willingness to learn and support organising Study Programme promo events in the local areas, industry knowledge and experience, ability to plan and act against KPIs, knowledge of a learner management system, a can-do attitude, resilience, adaptability, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, embracing change, and being methodical and self-motivated. The person should also be operationally and sales-minded.
