A fantastic new opening has arisen for a Design Draughtsperson to join us – you will be heavily involved in all aspects of engineering. From upfront project engineering with the customer, conceptual design, technical reviews, calculations and FEA, BOM creation and drawings. Also, you will be involved in the development of new prototype valves and the development and enhancement of existing products.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will become part of the team based in our satellite engineering office in Dundee, Scotland. Promotion opportunities exist and you will have to opportunity to become a Subsea Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities of the Design Draughtsperson:

· Production of front-end engineering documentation

· Liaising with customers in order to produce conceptual designs

· Producing drawings and STEP files using Solidworks

· Creation of new parts and BOMS

· Creation of qualification procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:

· Professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering

· Experience with Solidworks & AutoCad – Essential

· Knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

· Experience with FEA – desirable but not essential

· Oil and Gas experience - desirable but not essential

· Valve experience - desirable but not essential

· Knowledge of API 6A and API 17D - desirable but not essential
