Summary
To work as an autonomous practitioner in providing sports therapy assessments, treatments, and goal setting to CIPHER Medicals patients. To maintain up to date therapy records in line with professional standards. To use evidence-based practice and specialist skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. To provide education and training to patients, carers, and relatives as required. It is essential that you are a dynamic, trustworthy, and approachable individual with a team ethos. To adopt the CIPHER Medical core values, fulfilling our vision and mission statements. Provide sports therapy input to patient with a variety of musculoskeletal and other complex conditions. Initially Bank hours but has the potential to become a permanent role in the future for the right candidate who can help to grow our client base and bring new ideas to the team. Some evening/weekend working may be required, depending on clients needs, so some flexibility will be needed. Core Responsibilities: Provide sports therapy assessment, advice, and treatment to CIPHER Medicals clients. Provide sports therapy input into management of patients with complex needs. Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention. Provide sports therapy input into comprehensive interdisciplinary assessment, treatment and/ or discharge. Discuss services and treatment options to potential patients, their relatives, or carers. Provide support, consultation, and advice on relevant sports therapy issues to patients and carers. Balance evidence-based practice with individual patient needs, to achieve the best outcome for the patient. Adapt practice to meet individual patients circumstances, including due regard for cultural, social, and linguistic differences in addition to their cognitive and physical disabilities. Demonstrate high level of clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice. Contribute to patients care and delivery of service by developing skills beyond ones own professional training. Be flexible with hours providing treatment clinics and have the opportunity to provide sports therapy at events across the north east. Update and maintain accurate patient case noted and reports. Stay up to dare with latest sports therapy technologies and techniques. Comply with government sports therapy regulations. Work as a lone practitioner, manage the sports therapy clinic diary and bookings incoming from CIPHER Medicals website. Liaise with Insurance providers, as needed. Essential Criteria: Qualified Sports Therapist SST or BASRaT Registration Ideally will have at least 2 years post registration experience with musculoskeletal conditions Ability to work independently and have flexibility on hours (some weekend and evening clinics) Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
