Summary


An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic pharmacist to become part of a growing pharmacy clinical trials service. This is an exciting time within the Trust with participation in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products studies, recent opening of a new Clinical Trials Facility and the relocation of St Marks Hospital to the Central Middlesex Hospital site.

The post holder will work within the Pharmacy and Research and Innovation (R&I) teams to support the set up and running of clinical trials.

This new post requires the appointee to liaise with R&I, pharmacy, clinical research coordinators, investigators, nurses and trial Sponsors to ensure trials are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice with patient care and safety at its centre.

The post holder will:
• Co-ordinate the pharmacy aspects of clinical trials and ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice
• Maintain pharmacy site files to ensure they are inspection ready
• Review trial protocols and assess pharmacy capacity and capability
• Review and implement documentation or operational amendments to trials
• Deliver training to staff on the management of Investigational Medicinal Products
