We are currently recruiting for a Training Manager to lead, manage and deliver the provision and facilitation of learning and development across the Church Farm Care organisation within an adult social care setting.

The role would involving designing, growing and implementing learning and development programs and interventions with a key focus on Social Care Nursing, Dementia, Core Care Skills and End of Life provision.

Responsibilities

1. Delivery of a training program for induction of all levels of staff and annual mandatory updates, which will include the management and oversight of the online training platform.

2. Delivery of Dementia Care training for all levels of staff, following the Church Farm Care ethos and ‘People Matter’ program

3. Development and delivery of post registration updates for clinical staff, in collaboration with the central team

4. Support registered nurses in achieving revalidation

5. Lead on key training initiatives including Apprenticeship training, Train the Trainer, Nursing Associates and accreditation with BILD

6. Support the care home teams in the management of their training records, ensuring robust systems are maintained to evidence that staff are up to date with training requirements (Skills for Care ‘Training & Qualifications’ section) ensuring compliance.

7. Ensure that training policies, procedures and guidance are up to date and reflect best practice and are evidence based

8. Produce training needs analysis for each home alongside the care home manager and develop action plans to deliver on these

9. Management of external training and funding options.

Person specification

- Experience of working in a learning and development environment - essential

- Experience of working within a CQC rated Good or Outstanding health and social care environment - desirable

- Academic qualification in a related discipline, e.g. Learning and Development, Human Resources or demonstrable equivalent experience - desirable

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - essential

- Excellent IT skills including use of excel, word and database management - essential

- Significant experience in delivering effective learning and development solutions - essential

- Ability to coach, motivate and nurture others - essential
