Here at Serco, within our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC), we focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation.

As the Electrical manager you will be a key member of the Field Operations Team, responsible for the delivery of Electrical Trade services within AASC Operations. You will provide support & technical assistance to the Electrical Team in line with the business needs, health and safety, legal/statutory requirements and to ensure that the governing body registration is maintained.

You will need to hit the ground running so we are looking for someone with adept experience of multi-functional FM service delivery, excellent people management skills and success with leading mobile teams.

The role requires regular travel within the East and West Midlands area, some of your duties will include:

Ensure a full working operational knowledge of all electrical systems within the portfolio and maintain compliance.

Carry out site audits to support compliance / work & project activity.

Ensure that all installations and working practices comply with Napit legislation.

Working with Compliance Team and be responsible for Assure Reporting.



This is a fast-paced role that comes with its challenges and has a requirement to be on call and undertake out of hours working to agreed rosters; however, this is an opportunity to be part a fantastic team who love the work they do!



What you’ll need to do the role

First and foremost, you will have proven people management skills with demonstrable evidence of influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels to deliver results.

It is imperative you have appropriate accreditation (i.e. NICEIC). 18th edition, NVQ Level 3 and are prepared to undertake further trade related training as necessary.

This is a field-based role, so you must be willing to travel and undertake out of hours and on-call requirements.
