Summary


The following post has become available for an enthusiastic, customer-focused, self-motivated Administrator working for the Bridge House Inpatient Detox Unit in the Specialist Care Group within Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.

The applicant needs to have a good personality, good customer service skills, and be friendly and helpful as these traits are essential for this customer-facing role.



The role will be to provide excellent administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Tasks to include reception duties including meeting and greeting of new inpatients including booking them in, communication with clients and families, ordering of all supplies required by unit, receiving and processing of new referrals, managing the waiting list, liaising with referring agencies and GPs, performance data, inputting data to National Drug Treatment and Monitoring Service (NDTMS) and service user questionnaires, compliments, preparing data for monthly invoicing, inputting data for National database, record keeping on RiO, scanning and uploading of documentation and any other administrative tasks required. This list is not exhaustive but provides an overview of the role.

It is essential that the applicant has good typing skills and is experienced in using Microsoft Word and Excel. Data input experience is also required but training will be given for this. The ability to take Minutes would be an advantage. A good telephone manner is essential together with excellent customer service skills. The candidate should be a good team player and be willing to participate in the administrative running of the unit and be able to work to strict deadlines with regard to data input.It is essential that the candidate is able to remain calm and professional when faced with challenging or changing situations. There is also an opportunity for career progression within this role.

The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE in Maths and English and NVQ 3/RSA3 in Administration would be desirable and will possess strong customer service skills, a professional and confident telephone manner and good organisational and keyboard skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential with experience of accurate data inputting. This is a patient-facing role so experience in working in a healthcare environment/on reception is desirable.

This role is Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.
