Summary


This newly created post will be supporting the Transport Lead and Transport Admin Co-Ordinator to centralise patient transport bookings across KMPT Services providing an opportunity to be innovative, and share ideas to develop and embed the team.

The operational hours for the service are proposed as 8am – 8pm, 5 days a week. The post holder will be required to work shifts across the week to support the needs of the service. As this is a newly created service working hours may be subject to change following evaluation.

Some working flexibly / from home can also be accommodated.

The post holder will play a key role in representing the service on the telephone. They should be professional, personable and adaptable, with a conscientious approach to the potentially changing needs of the team.

This post would suite someone with skills in administration, communication, data collection and a keen interest in patient experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Management of all incoming calls to the Transport service, using a prescribed screening tool

· To remain patient focused and actively liaise with Acute Services to support with the booking of patient transport

· Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to build on partnership working and improve transport pathways

· Assisting in data collection

· Supporting the Transport Co-Ordinator to develop and improve processes in line with KMPTs strategy to continuous improvement and patient experience.

· Demonstrate professional communication and an ability to problem solve

· A variety of administrative tasks including typing documents, preparation of correspondence, customer service, data management, supporting business agendas, diary maintenance, scheduling meetings, and taking minutes.
