Summary


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised individual to join the Knowledge Spa and Accommodation Team.

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic person who can offer excellent administration skills to help shape the future of the accommodation services provided by Royal Cornwall Hospital.

To be successful you will need to be a strong administrator, with a flexible and professional approach to work, who is able to prioritise tasks to ensure that all work is accurate and provided in a timely manner. The ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the business is essential.

Experience of customer care and working in an accommodation environment is important as you will be expected to support the day-to-day operations of the accommodation office.

A key element of the role will be to support employees to find their own suitable external accommodation to move to, following their stay in Trust-provided accommodation. Therefore, to be successful you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy liaising with a wide range of people both internal and external to the organisation.

This is a full time, position working 37.5 hours per week 08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday. However, part-time working/job share would be considered.

To support the Admin and Accommodation Supervisor with the administration and co-ordination of bookings for overnight accommodation utilising the electronic database, including processing requests, issuing confirmations and cancellations, and any other associated paperwork.

To support the Admin and Accommodation Supervisor with financial administration to ensure that all payments for overnight accommodation are raised promptly.

To support the Admin and Accommodation Supervisor with the administration of the nomination’s agreement with Plymouth University. To ensure that all rooms allocated to RCHT are utilised efficiently.

To support the Admin and Accommodation Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the RCHT Accommodation Service by actively engaging with residents to help ensure they exit RCHT provided accommodation promptly in line with licence agreements.

To engage and work with individuals to understand their residential accommodation requirements and proactively provide support and assistance to help them secure residential accommodation.

To develop relationships with local letting agents, private landlords and others to maximise available opportunities for staff to access suitable residential accommodation.

The postholder will provide administrative support to the Admin and Accommodation Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the RCHT Accommodation Service to maximise room occupancy and revenue.

The postholder will support the Admin and Accommodation Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the RCHT Accommodation Service by actively engaging with residents to help ensure they exit RCHT provided accommodation promptly in line with licence agreements.

The postholder will provide a service which enables RCHT employees, in particular international recruits, to access affordable and suitable residential accommodation to help them settle successfully in Cornwall to support recruitment and retention of employees for the organisation.

The postholder will engage and work with individuals to understand their residential accommodation requirements, and proactively provide support and assistance to help them secure residential accommodation. This will include developing and providing housing information and advice, specifically for international recruits, and other RCHT employees, as required.

The postholder will develop relationships with local letting agents, private landlords and others to maximise available opportunities for staff to access suitable residential accommodation.

The postholder will have no line management responsibility but will contribute towards the development of the department and to ensure the departments’ philosophy of quality care and customer service is reflected in practice.

The post holder will visit the external properties if required for but not limited to property inspections. This role requires the candidate to have a clean Full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.
