Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen in our friendly gynaecology department for an experienced data audit officer on a fixed term basis. We can offer flexible working hours in a role which is pivotal to the ongoing provision of care for patients diagnosed with gynaecological cancer.

Working within the Family Health Gynae-oncology team, the Audit Officer is predominantly responsible for collecting and inputting data to Local Gynaecology Oncology Database as well as in submitting such data appropriate National Gynae cancer Database. This role requires a person with exceptional attention to detail, and experience of using databases.

1.Liaise with consultants, senior doctors and nurses to provide support for any audit or research project.
1. To collect and coordinate accurate, reliable and timely data, from case notes, MDT outcomes, databases (Notis, Medway, DHR, Infoflex, Bluespier etc) and clinical staff members
2. Enter patient data accurately and meticulously into Gynae Cancer database within the Medway PAS system and various other computerised database systems
3. Extract data from local databases using SQL queries, and quality check data appropriately
4. Responsible for uploading complex datasets into national database platforms
5. Resolve questions arising from the trust coding team and governance team
6. To develop and maintain a basic knowledge of the Gynae Cancer MDT system, and the pathways by working closely with both the MDT and pathway co-ordinators
7. Attendance at MDT meetings Gynae Cancer Pathway Meetings
8. To produce reports for internal and external organisations with regard to clinical governance, Quality Assurance, Internal and External Validation.

The post-holder will ensure that all data is collected in an accurate and timely manner. The post will involve collecting data from various sources and liasing with data analysts. The post requires experience in quality assurance and data audits, with the ability to manipulate large datasets in preparation for analysis and presentation the gynaecological oncologists.
