Equality Events and Learning Assistant (SO1)

Description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Equality Events and Learning Assistant. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our efforts to promote equality and diversity in all aspects of our organization.

As an Equality Events and Learning Assistant, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating a wide range of events and learning programs on topics related to equality and inclusion. This will include researching and identifying relevant topics, designing and developing engaging educational materials, and coordinating logistics for events such as conferences, workshops, and training sessions. Additionally, you will assist with the creation and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure that our organization is fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all employees.

To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for promoting equality and diversity, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You should be able to demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and coordination of a variety of events and learning initiatives related to equality and diversity
Conduct research and analysis on topics related to equality and inclusion, and provide recommendations for program development
Develop and deliver educational materials, including presentations, workshops, and training resources
Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual requirements
Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote equality and inclusion within the organization
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful execution of events and learning initiatives
Track and report on the impact and effectiveness of events and learning programs, and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, human resources)
Strong knowledge and understanding of issues related to equality, diversity, and inclusion
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required
Experience in event planning and coordination is an asset
