Join our dynamic service that is transforming healthcare.We are looking for a suitably experienced occupational therapist to work within our Hounslow Post Covid Team as the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist for the Community Post Covid service . This post offers exciting opportunities to work in and develop our forward thinking integrated community service working across health and social care. The successful candidate will be part of a large, supportive rehabilitation service based at the Heart of Hounslow Centre for Health.

Vacancy is for B7 OT ; 37.5 hrs; Fixed term until 31/03/2025

Hounslow Post Covid service operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with no weekends and bank holiday’ shifts to be covered.

This post will give the successful applicant opportunity to experience a wealth of learning and development and to work alongside a responsive dynamic team who put patient centred care at the heart of what they do. We work in an inter-disciplinary way to provide client-centred, goal focused therapy to adult patients in the community experiencing Long Covid symptoms.

You have to have an interest in working as part of a team to provide high quality, patient centred interventions. The caseload is comprised predominantly of adults who may present with multiple complex health needs.

As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist you would be expected to:

This Occupational Therapy role will be crucial in contributing to the development and implementation of occupational therapy programmes on an individual and group basis interventions and vocational therapy input.You will have opportunity to facilitate evidence-based groups as well as, supporting skills development and community engagement.Carry a caseload as well as having managerial responsibilities which would include, supervision, service development, recruitment and retention, training etc.The post holder will be in patient’s referral triaging process with NWL PC SPA service.

You will be part of a friendly and approachable team who work well together and will be well supported by your senior management team.

HRCH provides community health services for around 523,000 people registered with GPs in the London boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond, but also serves a wider population across southwest London for a range of more specialist services.

Travel is an integral part of the post so applicants should possess the ability and willingness to travel across the borough for work purposes.

Candidates should have:
• A Valid HCPC registration
• Relevant post-graduate experience in the NHS as a Band 7. Physiotherapist including working with people with neurological conditions.
