Summary


We are lookingto recruita dynamic leader to lead our library and knowledge serviceinto the futureand work aspart ofour clinicaleducation teamand wider Trust stakeholder services.Thisflexiblehybrid roleallowsyoutowork 3days on-site in thelibraryat prospect park hospital, providing visible leadership and supportand1day flexiblyfrom home. This post alsoprovidesa fantastic opportunity for professional development and system workinginvolving ICS and NHSE partnerships.

The post holderwill work closely with Trust-wide key stakeholders (learners, workforce, and clinical/operational/professional leads) and provide highly visible leadership to Trust Library and Knowledge Service (LKS). They willberesponsible forthelinemanagement, development,modernisationand delivery of thehigh quality, accessible and technology enhanced LKS. They will ensureallstaff and students across the organisationreceive support and guidancewiththeir Research, Evidence and Knowledge needs including conductingsystematic literature searches, appraising/synthesising/summarisingevidence to develop specialist knowledge repositories, make practice improvementdecisions andimplementation of bestpractice to improve patient care.Postholder willbe requiredto work 3days in theProspect Park Hospitallibrary, attend face to face meetings and will be able to work 1 day remotely. The post holder is responsiblemanaging library budget,delivering library strategy, data reporting, r quality assurance and delivery of Plan on a Page and other service improvement and wellbeing action plans.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Experience of managing a team and change management.
2. Senior leadership experience
3. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
4. Master’s degree or equivalent post-graduate qualification in library or information studies.
