Summary


We are looking to recruit a part time (4 days per week) Lead administrator based at Wokingham Hospital, with free parking, to work specifically for the Children in Care service, within CAMHS. You will need to be an accurate typist, have previous administrative experience and confidence in using Microsoft packages.

The Children in Care dedicated Mental Health Team has been established to ensure that children who are in care, receive quicker access to mental health support. By working in partnership and sharing knowledge, we hope to effectively meet the needs of children and young people in care.

Administrators are key to our Trust, supporting our service users and clinicians. Berkshire CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary community-based service that serves a child population of approximately 300,000 across the County. The teams comprise of child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, family therapists, nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, art/play therapists, social workers and Primary Mental Health Workers.
• Leading admin for the team, you will support our clinicians in sending out correspondence and booking appointments. You will answer emails and telephone calls, following up actions where required.
• You will need to be experienced in taking minutes at meetings, diary management and confident in using the full Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• You will also be required to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a willingness to help others as a key member of the team.
• The ability to build effective relationships, with a flexible approach to work is essential.
• You will be expected to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines in order to fulfil the requirements of the post.
• Carry out day-to-day organisation of systems to ensure the smooth running of the administration team.

The 3 “must haves” for this role:
1. Excellent interpersonal, observational, and reporting skills, able to deal with sensitive and challenging phone calls.
2. Confident in IT skills and using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with accurate typing skills.
3. Previous experience of working in an office and/or customer care environment.
