Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated customer focused individual to join the endoscopy booking team as a ward clerk. This post will be based at Colchester Hospital.

This role will be integral in the creation of the service, creating new pathways for patients to be treated in the community. You will be a friendly face for patients entering the unit.

The Endoscopy unit offer a 7 day service. The days of working for this role would be two weekdays, and one alternative Saturday.

Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please ensure you have discussed this with your line manager.

Your duties will include admission and discharge of patients on Lorenzo and Evolve computer systems, booking of appointments and filing of notes, answering phones and liaising with multidisciplinary teams/departments across the trust.

You should be able to work autonomously, be able to prioritise your workload and to work well within a team. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, both face-to-face and over the phone.

It would be beneficial to have NHS experience and possess excellent IT and clerical skills. You will be dealing with the staff and general public so it is paramount that you have good people skills. Working hours will be varied, so you must be flexible.
