Summary


Do you have an interest in education and training? Are you a quick learner who enjoys multitasking? Do you enjoy working front of house in a busy reception environment with lots of interaction with service users, both on the telephone, in email and in person?

An opportunity exists to join our training administrative team with responsibility for nurse training activities. You will have a key front of house role in co-ordinating specialist training events, preparing course materials and training rooms and welcoming visitors and training course participants to our Education Centre.

You will need to have had previous administrative experience, ideally within the NHS, and have a good level of IT literacy. You will also need to demonstrate that you are able to work as part of a team and can prioritise conflicting demands in a busy environment. You may need to be able work flexible hours to meet the needs of the educational activities that the centre offers.

If you have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail combined with word processing and accurate data entry skills, the ability to maintain excellent standards of customer care whilst working in a busy environment then we would like to hear from you.

The postholder will be responsible for all administrative tasks relating to nursing and HCSW inductions, training and upskilling programmes. This involves loading course information onto the electronic booking system, monitoring uptake, confirming pre-course learning and joining instructions and recording attendance. Additionally, many nurse clinical skills involve practical exercises. The postholder will be responsible for setting up training rooms with tables and chairs in the layout required as well as setting up clinical skills stations for practical exercises. Training equipment for practical exercises will require cleaning and maintenance as well as ensuring sufficient supplies are available for each course.
