Summary


We are seeking to recruit a Receptionist for Trevor Howell Day Unit, a busy oncology day unit that provides chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies to cancer patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, individual who has a passion for delivering excellent patient focused care. As the first point of contact for all patients on arrival to the unit, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, high quality and responsive service for our patients.
The successful applicant will be expected to have experience working with a variety of booking systems and be familiar with working to varied processes.

We would welcome candidates who have prior experience working within patient or customer facing roles.

The oncology team at St George’s Hospital are looking for a flexible, approachable, reliable and motivated team player to work as a full time receptionist.

The post will involve working in a team with other receptions, schedulers & healthcare professionals & occasional support for the sibling haematology day unit.

Our busy day units provides chemotherapy, blood transfusions and other systemic anti-cancer treatments to patients within the Trust. With close links to the in-patient ward areas, the Haematology & Oncology team is small and friendly with a passion for providing outstanding care, every time.

This role is patient facing .You will need to be able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in an outpatient or day unit environment. You will possess excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. We mainly use iCLIP (Cerner) and ChemoCare IT systems. Knowledge of these systems would be an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be provided.
