An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Operational Manager to join the leadership team responsible for Management of Acute and General Paediatric services, based as the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital site.

The Acute and General Paediatrics portfolio includes the Paediatric Emergency Department, Central booking team and the Main outpatients department's, alongside diverse general paediatric and paediatric diabetes services This would be the ideal opportunity for applicants with previous operational and performance management experience of either outpatient or urgent care to progress in their career.

A proactive, professional, positive outlook and the flexibility to embrace change are an essential element of this role. The post holder should be prepared to work in a challenging and changing environment.

You will be ensuring the achievement of local and national performance targets within the Portfolio. As will as having the opportunity to support a number of key hospital transformation and change programmes.

The post holder will support the Deputy Directorate Manager with both business and operational management to ensure that services are delivered to the highest levels of efficiency and quality.

You must have strong leadership skills with the ability to engage clinical and managerial teams to meet targets and continually improve patient care, reflecting our values and behaviors. You must have prior experience of supporting change and working effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
