Summary

We are currently recruiting a dietetic support worker to be based at our Bristol site.

We are looking for a full time dietetic support worker within our cancer care pathway. This role splits its time between inpatient and outpatient oncology services. Inpatient responsibilities primarily consist of supporting the specialist dietary needs of inpatients with face to face dietary advice, liaising with catering services over food provision and supporting the dietitians within that pathway. Outpatient responsibilities primarily involve administrative support for outpatient cancer services.

You could be one of these people, especially if you are motivated, flexible, have great people skills and a genuine interest in nutrition & health. Much of your time will be spent working at ward level directly with patients, but you will also be involved in more general office based work such as administration, data entry, display preparation and organising supplies of resources.

Therefore, you must have a good standard of education in English & Maths and competent computer/IT skills. Excellent communication skills oral & written are essential; as you will be working alongside dietitians, health care professionals & hotel services team helping people/patients from various backgrounds, cultures in a variety of settings.

You will work with an excellent dietetic team capable of supporting and developing professional practice with a dedicated CPD and competency programme. The adult acute dietetic team covers all sites of the teaching hospital.
