Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Manager to lead our team at House of Flavours. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory management, and financial performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing an outstanding dining experience to our guests.
Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
• Schedule staff shifts, assign duties, and monitor performance to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
Customer Service:
• Ensure that guests always receive exceptional service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Interact with customers to solicit feedback, respond to inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
• Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and exceed customer expectations.
Operations Management:
• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste.
Financial Performance:
• Develop and manage restaurant budgets, including labour costs, food and beverage costs, and operating expenses.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse financial data, and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and promotion.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food hygiene practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the restaurant.
• Address any health or safety concerns promptly and take corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
