Summary
The duties of the Quantity Surveyor role will include:
-Managing the change control process, capturing, notifying, valuing and agreeing variations and contractual claims
-Post contract liaison with stakeholders, designers, suppliers and internal divisions
-Preparing and issuing contractual letters to clients and sub-contractors
-Providing advice on the procurement strategy to include cost value analysis and procurement of sub-contractors
-Maintaining awareness of different contracts in current use, ensuring all current legislation and document control is adhered to
-Preparing, updating and presenting monthly CVR and P&L documents to senior management
-Monitoring and reporting forecast against actual costs and value throughout the programme of works and attending site visits when required
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor with industry experience in either highways or street lighting. You will have experience in NEC, JCT or ICE contracts and expert knowledge of costing, measurements and valuations. You will have a degree in quantity surveying or equivalent and you will have excellent knowledge NEC contracts. A CSCS card and driving license is essential for this role.
