Job Description

What is the role?


We are looking for individuals to complement our existing Childcare Team in South Ayrshire Council Out of School Care and Holiday Provision.


The role requires you to have previous knowledge working with children aged birth to 12 years and demonstrate the ability to plan activities, maintain effective working relationships and provide a safe, fun, nurturing environment.

The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 3 with an hourly rate from £12.81. Please note successful candidates will be placed on a bank list and contacted to work dependent on service requirements.


Please note successful candidates must also be registered with the SSSC at Practitioner level within 6 months of employment.


Interviews are scheduled to take place on 07 May 2024.


This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
