What is the role?

Children’s Health, Care and Justice Services in South Ayrshire is on an exciting transformational journey to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families through relationship based, family and community centred care. The Grade of these posts is Grade 3 / Level 10; hourly rate from £23.07 to £24.26 and an annual salary from £42,103 to £44,274. See below list of posts available:

  • 1 x Full time Permanent Children & Families Social Worker post – Initial Response Team, Wills Road, Ayr

Applicants whose qualification award is pending within the next 6 months, are welcome to apply. If you are recommended for any of these posts, the initial appointment will be at Level 8 until your qualification is awarded.

The successful candidates will be able to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.

These posts are considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidates will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal Offer of Employment being made.
