Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced midwife who is dynamic and motivated to join our well-respected team in a lead role as Specialist Midwife for Substance Misuse. The successful candidate will work closely with the Specialist Midwife for Perinatal Mental Health and the other specialist midwifes within the Maternity service.
In this role you will work with women and birthing families across the region and will be key in developing individualised plans and maintaining high standards of care for those experiencing substance use problems during the pregnancy continuum.
As a specialist midwife you will be responsible for providing care to some pregnant women who significantly misuse substances, in partnership with the Drug and Alcohol Teams. You will work closely with women and their families to plan and coordinate their care based on their individual needs.
