Summary
To manage patients with chronic disease, running specific clinic sessions and maintaining robust call and recall systems Participate in national screening work such as cervical cytology and deliver the national immunisation and vaccine schedule Treat patients with minor injuries Provide directly and assist GPs with contraceptive services Undertake health promotion to help educate patients and assess problems presented opportunistically by patients Select, carry out and interpret results of specific tests Take ECGs Simple wound management Offer a holistic approach to travel health by providing comprehensive advice to patients prior to travel including; vaccinations and medicines, safe sex, food hygiene, sun protection. Able to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation according to current UK guidelines Ensure infection control and cold chain guidelines are maintained. Ensures awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including Safeguarding Children Assist with the management of stock and equipment to include refrigeration, sterilisation and emergency equipment. To maintain accurate patient records and document consultations according to NMC guidelines To maintain own annual registration with the NMC and adhere to Code of Professional Conduct ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Adhere to all Practice policies including those relating to Health and Safety. Report all untoward incidents and/or accidents Within the scope of the role contribute to and support new ways of working within the team Follow policies and procedures within own role Regularly attend and contribute to team meetings. Participate in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development.
