Job Purpose:I am a bright and happy 23-year-old woman who needs care and support to manage most of my day to day living tasks due to my disabilities, I am reliant on carers to meet all my needs. You will support me with Personal Care such as helping me to get ready to shower which will include hoisting to shower chair, helping me to shower, dry off and dressing then hoisting assistance into wheelchair. Other tasks will include cleaning duties such as stripping/making the bed, washing clothes, ironing and putting the clothes away. Cleaning my room, cleaning the kitchen after meals etc. Preparing the breakfast and supporting with eating and fluids.Supporting me with wheelchair when out and about.Your support will promote my physical and emotional wellbeing and provide respite which will help to protect my relationship with my family.Location: Norwich, NR4Details:Personal care including help with clothes, washing, hair and makeup.Assisting with meals and fluid intake.General cleaning tasks including washing clothes, ironing, vacuuming and tidying.Supporting with wheelchair when out and about in the community.Providing stimulating chats and help with planning what I might want to do during the day.Maintaining the daily routine.Person specificationEssential:Previous care/support work experience.Reliable, honest and flexible.Friendly with positive nature and good sense of humour.Caring with sensitive and gentle manner.Patient with a calm manner.Understanding and respectful.Clean driving licence with the appropriate insurance and can drive a Motability equipped car/van.Female carer due to the personal care component.Desirable:Experience with providing complex care advantageous.Experience with hoisting advantageous, however, training will be given.Summary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £13.00 per hour.· Hours and times of work: on average 12 hours per week arranged as follows: Wednesday from 10am - 4pm weekly, every other Saturday 10-4pm and every other Sunday 10-4pm .

· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.· This position requires the employee to complete free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid, COSHH, Food Hygiene, Managing Continence, Personal Care, Moving and Handling and Risk Assessment.Post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
