I am a 27 year old female, living between the city centre NR2 and my parents house NR4, looking for a reliable and responsible PA to provide essential support for me to live independently. As my PA your role will be pivotal to maintaining my health and supporting me on my journey as a young person living with multiple complex health conditions. (listed below)
Locations: NR2 & NR4Job Description: Essential daily/weekly tasks will typically include:
Tidying kitchen, meal preparation and cooking in accordance with a strict but simple medical diet, Food shopping/putting food into kitchen cupboards, light cleaning, changing bedding, hoovering, cleaning bathroom, wiping floors, laundry, folding, ironing, putting away, helping to maintain a clean, presentable and organised home. Providing transport to medical appointments.

Additional tasks will/may include:
Providing care if/when I have a health relapse/flare (info and guidance on specifics will be provided), Providing transport generally, joining me in medical appointments to take notes and advocate, household administration (reviewing bills, electric, water etc), light medical administration, calling GP, advocating on my behalf.

About Me:
Despite my health circumstances, I have an outwardly looking, positive perspective on life and do my best to enjoy it, within the boundaries of my health. I am friendly and chatty and have a good sense of humour. I will enjoy getting to know you, however there will also be many times when I cannot talk and need to have quiet space, due to my symptomology.
I also enjoy listening to podcasts, art, nature and learning new things. I like learning about medicine, natural healing modalities, things I can do to benefit my own health.Person specificationEssential:A willingness to learn about my health conditions (ME/CFS, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Histamine Intolerance, Osteoporosis, and Dysautonomia) - we can provide assistance to help you understand.Be sensitive to my physical needs, understanding my energy limitations and preferences for a quiet, calming environmentMust be a Driving licence holder with your own vehicle, appropriate business insurance and with a high priority to careful and considerate driving skills.Have an outgoing personality with Patience, compassion, and a positive attitudePunctuality and the ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent time management skillsFlexibility to cover weekends twice a year (with prior notice)Desirable:Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.Having first aid certification
Summary terms and conditions: The rate of pay for this position is £12.00 per hour.Hours and times of work: 13 hours per week.Monday: 11am-3pm
Tuesday: 3pm-5pmWednesday: 12.00-3pm
Thursday: 3pm-5pmFriday: 3pm to 5pm

The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata for part time employees.Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff.

The post is subject to the following:A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 monthsIf this position requires any of the following, the employee will be required to complete free annual training:Manual HandlingHandling of hazardous chemicalsFood Handling
