Summary

Acorn by Synergie is searching a Finance Manager to join their client, a packaging business based in County Durham.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the purpose of the role is to be the senior finance person on site, taking responsibility for all financial matters within the company.

Duties will include:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and supporting information.
  • Rolling cash flow forecasting, managing supplier payments, bank reconciliation and overseeing credit control.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Production of Year end Accounts and liaison with external auditors.
  • Monthly customer, and product sales, analysis.
  • Process monthly payroll, including pension scheme return and management.
  • HMRC VAT and PAYE returns.
  • Management of Foreign Currency payments to non UK suppliers.
  • Managing Xero accounting system, including supplier invoices, accruals and prepayments.
  • Company credit card reconciliation and journal posting.
  • Management of Fixed Asset register.

It is essential that the successful candidate holds or is working towards a recognised UK accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA). Previous experience in a similar role is essential, experience working with Xero will be highly beneficial.

The role is office based, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Salary is dependent on the skills and experience to offer.
