Summary

The Business Operations Manager will sit within the CCSE Private Office (Consumer, Creative, Sport and Education) and will work closely with Private Office to ensure delivery of key CCSE functions. The Private Office provides support to the Director and the multiple sector teams in CCSE. This role is key to the smooth running of the Directorate.

The Directorate represents the cultural heart of UK trade and investment, supporting sectors critical to the economy; creative industries, retail, digital services, education, sports and Agri-Food and Drink.

The Business Operations Manager would:

  • Manage and coordinate the CCSE Finance returns, review actuals and manage forecasts.
  • Manage and take ownership of the relationship with BG central finance team and BG central HR team.
  • Develop and maintain a central CCSE Risk Register which would feed into BG central commissions on risk.
  • Lead on the monthly Transparency Data Returns.
  • Provide support on commissions, especially related to Team activities and successes.
  • Take ownership and liaise with the CCSE teams on the Dashboard, linking the Dashboard to Finance and Reporting. The Operational Delivery Manager will also present the Dashboard Quarterly to SLT. There is a need to ensure the Dashboard is linked to other Monitoring and Evaluation work across BG.
  • Review and manage CCSE processes to ensure they are efficient and reduce duplication of asks.
  • Resource management and HR support.
  • Support Business Planning, including Spending Review planning.
  • Delivering high quality leadership and management support to two AOs.
