Job Purpose:I am a young boy with non-verbal autism diagnosis and am looking for a PA who would support me with activities and provide respite. I enjoy cards, puzzles, books, interactive stories, walks and exploring outside as well as some time on the iPad. I communicate with the use of device, symbols and board. I need support with increasing independence and social skills.Location: Thetford, IP24Duties to include:· Providing supervision as well as access to various activities I enjoy at home or in the community.· Engaging me in play and supporting me in play and making sure I can be included in activities.· Providing respite.· Working closely with my parents, carers and sibling.These duties may vary from day to dayAny other reasonable duties that may be necessaryPerson specificationEssential:Experience of supporting a child with AutismFriendly and supportivePatient with good communication skillsCaringActiveCar owner with the appropriate business insuranceSummary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour· Hours and times of work: 2 hours per week to be arranged flexibly· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks· This position requires the employee to complete free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid, Risk Assessment, Autism.Post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
