Workchain, a reputable UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled driver to join our client's team on a temporary basis.Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with legal and company regulations.- Deliver goods to designated locations while ensuring their integrity and timely distribution.- Collaborate with the transport team to plan routes efficiently, taking into account traffic and road conditions.- Perform pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.- Maintain accurate records of activities, including delivery schedules, mileage, and fuel consumption.- Uphold a professional and customer-focused approach, providing excellent service at all times.- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring personal and public safety during deliveries.Qualifications:- Full, valid UK driving license with Category C1 entitlement (7.5 tonnes).- Excellent driving skills, with a proven track record of safety and reliability.- Demonstrated knowledge of legal requirements and industry regulations, including tachograph use.- Previous experience in a similar driving role is highly desirable.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to handle changing schedules or unexpected situations.- Good geographical knowledge of Batley and surrounding areas is advantageous.- A positive attitude, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
