We are seeking a Mail & Porterage Supervisor to lead a small, well-established team of four, overseeing porterage, business moves, mailroom operations, courier services and invoicing on a steady, high-profile site.​

This is a hands-on supervisory role focused on maintaining safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery while ensuring a consistently excellent customer experience for building users and VIP stakeholders.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual who can take ownership of team performance, health and safety compliance, and service delivery against contractual requirements, with future reporting into the Assistant Building Manager.​

Attention to detail, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to drive continuous service improvements are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily Mail & Porterage operations, ensuring delivery against service requirements and SLAs.

Lead, manage and develop a team of four, including 1-1s, performance reviews and objective setting.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and COSHH standards, including risk assessments.

Manage mailroom services, porterage, meeting room setups, business moves and courier activity.

Monitor budgets, control costs and provide accurate reporting in line with contract requirements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, customers and internal teams.

Drive service improvements through performance monitoring, feedback analysis and action planning.

Promote a collaborative ‘one team’ culture through clear communication and regular team engagement.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience in a porterage or similar operational environment (preferred).

Proven experience managing a small team and handling performance management processes.

Experience with financial management, including budgets and invoices.

Comfortable with manual handling duties.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to service improvement.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Numerate and comfortable using technology.

A collaborative team player with a proactive and professional approach.
