The Role:
We are looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to provide advice to residents, businesses, and visitors, and enforce parking restrictions fairly and consistently.
You will be required to work 37 hours per week across a 6-week rotating shift pattern covering Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays). Weekend and bank holiday pay enhancements are in addition to the listed salary.
This position is based in Stafford and will primarily cover the Stafford area. Initial training and some working may be in Lichfield. Shifts vary so flexibility for the role is essential.
Working as a Civil Enforcement Officer is an active outdoor role, where you will:
· Help to reduce traffic congestion
· Promote road safety
· Protect parking spaces for people who need them
· Improve air quality
· Your day will be spent mostly outside, in all weathers. You will be dealing with members of the public face to face, sometimes in difficult situations, so the ability to stay calm under pressure is important
About You:
· Experience in parking enforcement isn’t needed, but a history of working with members of the public is essential
· Basic computing skills would be an advantage, as you will be using a hand-held device daily
· Hold a full driving licence
What we offer:
· A competitive salary based on your skills, experience and talent
· Hybrid and flexible working options
· An excellent local authority benefits pension scheme
· Professional development through learning opportunities, regular training sessions and apprenticeship and management schemes

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment.
