Summary

We’re recruiting an experienced Housing Operations Manager to lead high-performing housing services in Swansea. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape service delivery, manage key housing functions, and drive innovation in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Hours: 35 per week, Permanent
Salary: £49,163 per annum
Requirement: Full driving licence

About the role

As a Housing Operations Manager, you’ll lead multiple housing service areas including income, empty homes, customer services, community safety and tenant engagement. This Housing Operations Manager role focuses on delivering efficient, person-centred services while improving tenancy sustainability and driving early intervention.

You will:

Lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams
Oversee rent, arrears, lettings and allocations services
Embed resident involvement across services
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in housing delivery
Build strong partnerships with local authorities and stakeholders
Manage budgets, performance data and compliance
This Housing Operations Manager position is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in social housing.

About you

To succeed as a Housing Operations Manager, you’ll have strong leadership experience within housing or a related sector, with a focus on service improvement and partnership working.

You will bring:

Experience leading housing management or similar services
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of social housing, tenancy management and community issues
A proactive, customer-focused and collaborative approach
Confidence managing change and driving performance
We welcome previous experience working as: Housing Manager, Service Manager, Property Manager, Tenancy Manager, Social Housing Team Leader, Operations Manager, or roles within Local Authority or Third Sector services with transferable leadership skills.
