Summary
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Salary: £73,000 - £76,373.85 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm
Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, TA5 1UD
We have an exciting, full-time opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team at Hinkley Point C. Taking full ownership of our daily hard and soft Facilities Management (FM) operations, you will be the driving force behind a complex, high tempo, multi billion pound nuclear infrastructure programme.
You won’t just be managing operations; you will be the driving force behind our service strategy, ensuring everything we do is agile, innovative, and fully compliant. Working hand in hand with the Account Director, you will champion a collaborative culture. More importantly, you will be the face of our operation to key partners, dedicated to nurturing genuine, high-impact relationships with the HPC client, Trade Unions, and external stakeholders
Core Requirements & Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Ensure all FM service provisions meet or exceed contractual SLAs, KPIs, and performance parameters
Strategic Growth & Mobilisation: Lead the mobilisation planning for new buildings as the HPC site develops, and proactively initiate opportunities to grow the contract portfolio
Commercial Leadership: Support financial teams with budgets, forecasting, and cost control for a multimillion-pound operation. You will also manage commercial risks and opportunities, maintaining compliant client communications through CEMAR
Client & Stakeholder Synergy: Advise and influence the HPC client on service delivery initiatives, while building strong relationships with suppliers and G4S procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted service
Team Development: Proactively manage and engage the operational team, consistently applying people management policies across performance reviews, development plans, and attendance
Senior Representation: Work closely with the Account Director and step up to deputise in their absence when required
Essential:
We are looking for a commercially driven, detail-oriented leader who is ready to tackle large scale, high value operations
A strong background in FM, supported by hands-on Hard FM and M&E working knowledge
Proven project management experience and a track record of managing multimillion pound budgets
IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications
High IT literacy and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage, influence, and lead teams
Desirable:
Experience of CAFM / Concept Evolution
Working knowledge of statutory compliance and SFG20
Experience of managing CDM projects
Experience on large scale infrastructure projects
