Summary
Are you an experienced Early Years professional looking to progress your career as a Room Leader?
Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leaders to join a high-quality nursery setting in Deptford, London SE8. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified childcare professional with leadership experience who is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in leading your room team, creating engaging learning opportunities, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Working Hours
Full-Time – 37 hours per week
4-day working week
Working hours: 7:45am to 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operation of your designated nursery room.
Support and mentor Nursery Practitioners and junior team members.
Plan and deliver stimulating activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Monitor, assess, and record children's learning and development.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare standards are maintained.
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Promote high standards of care, education, and professional practice.
Candidate Requirements
Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
Previous experience working as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Passion for providing outstanding childcare and education.
