Summary

We are currently recruiting a Caretaker for our client based in Camden. The purpose of the Caretaker role is to maintain and oversee the day-to-day operation, cleanliness, security, and basic upkeep of a property or facility.
Key Responsibilities for the Caretaker:
• Open and close buildings as required.
• Carry out routine inspections of premises and grounds.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure cleanliness of communal areas and outdoor spaces.
• Monitor security systems and report suspicious activity.
• Arrange or supervise contractors for larger maintenance work.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks, alarms, or equipment failures.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• To maintain store inventories and arrange orderly and secure storage supplies.
• Assisting with the receipt, distribution, collection and despatch of goods, and a register of tools and equipment kept clean.
Qualifications of the Caretaker role:
• Basic maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical fitness for manual tasks.
