Summary
A friendly, reliable, and caring Female Personal Assistant (PA) is required to provide social support for a young lady living with Autism, ADHD, and Tourette's Syndrome.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting others to live independently, access their community, and pursue their interests in a positive and engaging way.
Roles and Responsibilities
About the Role:
The successful applicant will support a young woman to access social and community activities, build confidence, and enjoy her interests. She particularly enjoys arts and crafts, visiting museums, and getting out into the community.
Some personal care may be required as part of the role when needed.
Specific Requirements
Essential Requirements:
Female PA
Good sense of humour
Understanding, patient, and non-judgemental
Able to work confidently with someone who has Tourette's Syndrome and not be easily offended by vocal or verbal tics.
Required Training
Medication administration training
First Aid training
Seizure awareness training.
There is a service dog and two cats in the household. No pet care is required, but applicants should be comfortable around animals.
Hours Per Week-12
How will the hours be used-split over 3 days a weeks to be agreed on with PA.
