Summary

We are recruiting a Midday Supervisory Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 7.5 hours (Monday – Friday, 1 hour and 30 minutes per day)

Working Weeks TTO: 38
Contract Type: Part Time, Term Time Only and Fixed Term Until 31st August 2027
Location: Ysgol Gymraeg Trelyn

The Governing Body of Ysgol Gymraeg Trelyn is seeking to appoint a midday supervisor for this small and friendly Welsh Medium primary school. A smart, reliable and professional person is required for undertaking this exciting role within the school.

The school is a happy, relaxed community school and the midday supervisors are very much a part of the staff and central to the school. A calm and friendly manner is essential along with sound communication skills.

A spoken knowledge of Welsh would be desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will possess good communication skills and will enjoy working with children. They will have a commitment to making lunchtimes a happy time and will be keen to engage pupils in play activities.

An understanding of the role of a Midday Supervisor and the responsibilities associated with working with children.
The ability to communicate with children with care, empathy and understanding.
The ability to follow instructions and procedures in line with agreed school policies.
