Are you looking for an exciting Senior Nursery Room Leader role in a high-quality Early Years environment based in Crowborough, East Sussex?
We are looking for an experienced, confident and passionate Senior Nursery Room Leader to join a supportive early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior position within a nurturing setting where children are encouraged to learn, play, and develop in a stimulating environment. You will play a key leadership role in delivering outstanding early years care and education, with genuine opportunities for ongoing professional development and progression into management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of high-quality, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Take a senior leadership role within the room, supporting and mentoring practitioners to maintain excellent standards
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children
- Act as Key Person, overseeing children’s learning, development, wellbeing, and care needs
- Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing updates and milestones with parents and carers
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families through clear and effective communication
- Support safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety compliance across the setting
- Drive continuous improvement within the room, contributing to overall nursery quality and standards
Ideal Candidate:
- Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education (essential)
- Significant experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or in a senior nursery role
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection requirements
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate, and develop a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passionate about early childhood development and delivering outstanding care and education
- Committed to maintaining the highest professional standards
