Summary

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | Kirkby in Ashfield (NG17) | £110-£130 per day | Temp to Perm | Full Time | Paid Trial Days Commencing ASAP

Long Term Futures are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting, supporting pupils with SEND, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Working within a nurturing and highly supportive environment, you will play a key role in delivering targeted interventions, leading small group learning, and supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and wider professionals to help every child develop confidence, independence, and a positive approach to learning.

About the Role:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and lead small group interventions across the primary age range
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural and additional needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Support pupils' academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and families to deliver personalised learning plans
- Contribute to behaviour management strategies and support positive outcomes

About You:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience supporting teaching and learning within a primary or specialist SEND setting
- Experience working with pupils with SEND, communication difficulties, learning needs, and/or SEMH needs
- Strong relationship-building and behaviour management skills, with the ability to support pupils effectively
- Experience delivering interventions and adapting learning to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach, with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, therapists, and families to support positive outcomes for pupils
