NextGen Teachers is proud to be supporting a fantastic SEN school in Leeds (LS9) in the recruitment of a dedicated Autism & Communication Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team on a full-time, permanent, term-time only basis from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern specialist school designed to support pupils with Autism, Complex Communication needs and a range of additional learning needs. The academy is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, develop independence and achieve their full potential. It also benefits from purpose-built specialist facilities and is part of a large Multi-Academy Trust, with a strong focus on community, inclusion and aspiration.

You will:
- Support pupils with Autism and communication needs both inside and outside the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver engaging and personalised learning.
- Build positive relationships that help students develop confidence, independence and social skills.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism or communication needs (school or care experience welcomed).
