Summary
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive educational setting (Secondary School) in Rubery, South Birmingham.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils to support learning, promote positive behaviour, and help create an engaging classroom environment.
- Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one and small group basis.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Encourage pupil participation and engagement in learning.
- Support students with additional learning needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Minimum 6 months' previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar educational support role.
- Ability to travel reliably to Rubery, South Birmingham.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
