SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time, long-term

You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support for pupils who require additional assistance in the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in education.
What the role involves:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assisting with differentiated learning activities and classroom tasks
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Implementing EHCP targets and support strategies
Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
What you’ll need:
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt support methods to individual needs
A proactive and reliable attitude
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
