Summary
Our client works in various sectors within the heavy engineering sector, please note this is a physically demanding role previous overhead crane experience is required.
They are looking for candidates with the following experience to be considered for the role:
Have previous steel/ overhead crane experience, advantageous with overhead crane licence / gantry crane licence
Must have experience in Steel with knowledge of hand tool work, grinding, sheet metal work, steel fabrication
Ideally have a FLT Counterbalance licence.
Adhering to H&S and keeping workshop clean and tidy.
You will be working at the end of a slitting line using a 20 tonne
over head crane. Banding steel coils with a banding gun and using the
cane to off load from the machine to despatch area or onto truck to go
out for delivery.
The offer for the role of Steel Operative/ Overhead Crane Operator:
Salary - £13.73ph initially increasing after a successful temporary to permanent period
Shifts - Afternoons Monday to Friday
Available overtime
This is temporary to permanent contract going straight onto the books of the company.
