Summary
1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 5 (Behaviour Support)
Thrive Education is seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with high level behavioural needs. Mornings will be spent delivering structured 1:1 support, while afternoons involve assisting children who find the classroom environment challenging. This role requires patience, creativity, and the ability to motivate a capable learner through short, engaging tasks.

Key Responsibilities Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with behavioural needs Deliver short, motivating learning activities tailored to the child’s strengths Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies Assist other pupils who struggle to access learning in the afternoons Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to implement support plans Maintain clear, supportive communication with the wider team
